What makes me a good handyman?
Firstly, I enjoy problem solving. Secondly, I have spent most of my working life in the construction industry where have worked on small domestic projects, new housing estates and full refurbishments of multi-storey buildings. All of these jobs helped me pick up my handyman skills and knowledge. In addition to this, I’ve always enjoyed doing the maintenance and repairs in my own home. Finally, I like to help and I want you to enjoy your home. I work to the same standard as I would on my own home and understand the importance of good home maintenance.
Why did I choose to become a handyman?
I enjoyed all of my previous jobs, however I chose to leave my last job as a supervisor in a construction company, to become a full time dad to my new baby boy. This gave me some real quality time with my family and in turn, led me to think about managing my work-life balance. The rest as they say, is history. I now enjoy running my home maintenance business and feel rewarded seeing jobs through from start to finish myself. At the same time I also enjoy the benefits of running my own business, in particular managing my own time.
What jobs do I do?
My preferred jobs are the exterior maintenance ones like roof repairs, fence repairs, new fence installations, gate repairs, shed roof felting and gutter cleaning. As you can imagine, the weather doesn’t always suit this work so as well as exterior works, I also carry out interior jobs. I like to do skirting board fitting, light plumbing work such as repairing leaking taps, fixing flush mechanisms and replacing things like taps and waste pipes.
Where do I work?
I work on homes in Liverpool, West Lancashire, Sefton, and Knowsley. As I’ve said, I want you to enjoy your home – I want it to be smart and secure. So if DIY isn’t for you, let me take care of it.
